Additional Information

So far I have not been able to locate the marriage of David and Martha, since they were not married in Tadley, Alresford, Basingstoke nor in North Waltham. Their last two children, Mary and Jane, are shown in the IGI as having parents David & Mary and Thomas & Martha ("Ostler") respectively. However, the 1841 Census gives Martha as living in Basingstoke with George, John, William, Mary & Jane, showing that the IGI (and probably the Parish Registers as well) have recorded the parents names erroneously. In the 1851 Census Jane was still living with Martha together with Thomas, who seems to have been elsewhere in 1841!
