Additional Information
Since Thomas lived in Basingstoke, and Elizabeth came from North Waltham, I am curious as to why they married in Cobham Kent. Was it their nearest Methodist Chapel? Did they elope? Certainly, Elizabeth's parents lived in Basingstoke, as they can be found in the 1881 census caring for their granddaughter Florence, and in the 1891 census living with Elizabeth their daughter. Thomas died sometime between 1871 and 1881, probably in 1875, and Elizabeth became a Nurse. She can be found in the 1881 census as nurse to the family of Alfred Cooke, Sarum Villas Basingstoke, whilst Jessie was a visitor with John and Sarah White at Aldershot. Helena has not been seen in any of the censuses although she does turn up as a witness at Jessie's marriage in 1891.
