Additional Information
James and Mary had a large family, and so can be forgiven for forgetting to baptise their children! On several occasions, the youngest child was not baptised until the next one was due, and their last three children, were baptised together in 1847, when the eldest of the three, Emma, was seven years old! On one occasion, the baptism of Henry in 1833, they joined forces with James's brother John and celebrated a double baptism.
The family can be seen in the 1841 Census, the 1851 Census, and the 1861 Census, living in Stafford Hill Lane Kirkheaton. The family lived at this address for many years.
