Additional Information

In 1871, James was still living with his parents. By 1881 he was a widower living with his daughter Blanche at New Street Andover; William was living with his Whitcher grandparents in New Town Basingstoke. In 1891, James was living in East Street Andover with a new wife, Mary P., Blanche was still with him as was his father in law Richard J TOWLER.

It appears that James died just before the census was taken in 1901, and Mary was living alone in Andover. Blanche was working as an Assistant School Mistress in Eton, BKM. I have been unable as yet to locate William in the 1901 census.
