Additional Information
In 1861, Alfred was still alive and living with Mary Ann and children Emily and Alice. I'm not sure where young Albert was at this time, as it does not appear that he died in infancy. Also living with the family in Wantage is Selina LOVELOCK, Mary Ann's unmarried sister. Alfred died sometime around 1870, and the 1871 census shows Mary Ann alone with seven children, the youngest only 6 months old.
In 1881, Mary Ann is still a widow, living in Belmont Terrace Wantage with William, Florence, and Selina together with an illegitimate granddaughter, Alice [presumably Selina's child]. In 1881, Albert had moved to Chelsea, and was an engine driver; Clara was described and an Annuitant and was living with her uncle, Jesse KNIGHT, in Guildford, SRY. This is presumably one of the sons of Grace RAMPTON [nee HARMSWORTH] and James KNIGHT, half brother to Alfred.
In 1891, only Florence was left in Wantage.
