Additional Information
In 1851 census, there is a Thomas of the right age, born "in Kingsclere" living in Chapel Street Thatcham, near Newbury. He gave his occupation as a Slaughterman, and is a likely candidate to be the son of Thomas the Butcher! By 1881, he has travelled a long way, and can be found working as a butcher in Bath, Gloucestershire, with a family all born in Bath.
In 1891, Thomas and family were back in Hampshire, living at Priory School Ramsdell (just south of Tadley). He was still a butcher, and a further son had been born.
