Additional Information

Thomas was 18, and Ann 22 when they married in 1856, Ann being the daughter of Jonathan CRIPPS and a member of a very old Tadley family. Thomas and Ann became members of the Methodist Church sometime in the mid 1860s, and two of their children were baptised in the Chapel. In 1871, the family were living at Blackfans, Pamber, together with two of Ann's relatives (brothers?). In the 1881 Census, Thomas and Ann, together with Arthur, Albert and Elizabeth, still lived at Tadley. In the 1891 Census, only Elizabeth was still living at home, at Broadhalfpenny Tadley.

The family continued to have Methodists connections, but several of the children were later married in the Anglican Church.
