Additional Information

In the 1841 Census Elizabeth was living at Tadley Common, aged 20, and seemingly single. She was probably working as a servant of some sort, prior to her marriage in 1843.

In the 1851 Census the family was living in Tadley, next door to James and his wife Fanny (nee BUTLER). Four houses further down the road lived Thomas Rampton, cousin to Elizabeth, and his second wife Charlotte (nee TULL), and next door but one to Thomas lived George & Elizabeth STACEY, David's brother and his wife.

Elizabeth seems to have cared for her brother James's son William when he was left an orphan in 1861, but sadly William died in 1862 (Elizabeth was present at his death and informed the registrar).

In the 1891 Census, David & Elizabeth were still living in Tadley Hill, although by now 73 and 71 respectively, and all their children had left home.
