Additional Information
Elizabeth was shown living alone in the 1841 census, at Browning Hill, Sherborne. With her was 2 year old David, and her half-sister, Mary (Anne) aged 14, and Patience aged 6 - because the 1841 census does not give relationships, so it is difficult to be sure, but Patience appears from later documentation to be her illegitimate daughter. In 1851 the family had grown, and living at the same address, in addition to Peter and Elizabeth, were:
Patience Huse daughter aged 16
David Huse son aged 12
Jane Huse daughter aged 4
It is suspicious that Patience is described as Peter Huse's daughter, but was born two years before he married Elizabeth. The only Patience I have a note of who was born in Monk Sherborne immediately before the marriages was born in 1831, and she died in infancy. When Patience married in 1852, she married under the name Patience RAMPTON and gave her father's name as John Smith.
In 1853, when Henry died, they were living at Shiredown Hannington. In 1881 Elizabeth was widowed, living alone at Malsanger, Hannington.
