Where They Lived
In 1851, the family was living at 5 St Georges Terrace Cheltenham, GLS. Wyndham became a sailor and Clement is given (in the 1881 census) as an Independent Minister.
It is interesting to read William's mother's Will, since it provides a hint as to why he may have moved from Dorset to Gloucestershire. In the will of 1823, Mary Bryer bequeathed to William property in St Pauls Bristol, whereas all other property mentioned in the Will was situated in Dorset. The connection between Dorset and Bristol was obviously established within the family, and William's bequest may have been the spur to send the newly married couple to Bristol or Cheltenham.
